What is involved?
Depending on the severity of your symptoms you will need between one and six learning sessions. The first session will take approximately 2 hours, the following sessions between 60 and 90 minutes. In a free preliminary telephone interview, you will be asked some simple questions about your symptoms and medication which will allow me to give you an indication of how many sessions are needed.
- If you are a very mild asthmatic, which means you use almost no medication, then you may need only 1 or 2 sessions.
- If you are a moderate to severe asthmatic, or have other medical conditions which indicate you will need extra supervision as you learn the system, you will need the full complement of sessions.
- Most commonly the first 3 to 4 sessions are held during one week, with other sessions early the next week. This will vary depending on your individual progress and condition.
- Special times are made available for those who are unable to attend during working hours if necessary.
